We are proud to now offer custom Gift Certificates, delivered to your home or business U.S. mailing address. Our certificates are personalized with your information and sent within 24 hours via USPS.

UPS & UPS overnight is available at an additional charge. UPS overnight orders must be placed prior to 3:00 p.m. M-F.

These certificates are custom created with the name of the recipient and the type of flight ordered. This is the perfect gift for the thrill seeker or the person who's "done it all" or "has it all."

It's easy to order: First, choose a flight. Next, enter your personal information and you're done. The actual certificate will be mailed via US mail for $3.00 or UPS overnight (for an additional fee).

HOT STUFF

We ask that you allow 3 hours for your entire flight experience, while we approximate one hour of actual flight time. The additional time required covers the pre-flight briefing, the layout and rigging of the balloon before the flight as well as retrieval and pack-up after the flight. Transportation back to the original meeting location is provided. Each passenger also receives a personalized flight certificate, complimentary beverages with souvenir balloon cups.

Ballooning is a team sport. The above airfares are quoted for a shared basket unless you reserve an exclusive package.

Timing is Everything

Ballooning is very finicky regarding weather. For your safety all balloon activity is only scheduled twice daily. Passengers either meet 40 minutes prior to sunrise or two & half hours prior to sunset. Barring any weather systems in the area, the weather conditions tend to be calmer at these times.

Mother Nature

There's times she has a mind of her own. But when we are on her good side here's a few of the conditions we look for. Please keep in mind the sun is one of the last items we look at in order to make a go or no-go decision.

• Winds should be less than 10 mph on the ground
• Wind speeds at altitude
• No rain/precipitation in a radius of 75 miles of the launch site
• No thunder storms within a 75 radius of the launch site
• Visibility & ceiling according to the FAA regulations

In addition to the weather safety standards we set for ourselves, there are Federal Aviation requirements that we have to adhere to.

The temperature during a balloon flight is relatively similar to the ground temperature. Under normal conditions, air temperature is about 3.5 degrees lower per 1000 feet you go up. A typical flight is less than 2,000 feet. In addition the balloon travels with the wind so little or no wind chill is felt against your body. 

Hands on Experience

Occasionally we ask for a helping hand during the inflation and/or deflation. Please let us know if you are not physically capable or unable. It's a great way to jump in and join the camaraderie! Crew opportunities are always available for one of our balloons. Your pilot can give you details.

Launch Locations

Although we do have our standard launch location at the Warren County Airport, there are several other locations in the area we will use due to wind direction/speed, visibility, sensitive areas or any FAA temporary regulations.

On occasion, we will launch the balloons in the Cincinnati or Dayton areas. These launch sites are determined the day of the flight according to schedules, wind & weather and/or any FAA temporary restrictions.

Specialty Package Descriptions:

PRIVATE Champagne Flight – Starting at $525 and up (some restrictions apply)

Float along with your significant other in a balloon solely reserved for you. (Pilot included of course) Your balloon may fly in conjunction with some of our other balloons for additional scenery! After the flight you will be transported back to the launch site where you will be given a champagne package with souvenir champagne glasses to take with you. A non-alcoholic version is available upon request. To commemorate your flight your pilot will present to you personalized flight certificates over a champagne toast. 

ULTIMATE PRIVATE Champagne Flight!! – Starting at $750 and up (some restrictions apply)

Hummer Kick it up a notch and get it all!!! Travel in style to and from the launch site in a state of the art limousine! Gentle Breeze Hot Air Balloon Company, Ltd. in conjunction with Motortoys Limousine offers the ULTIMATE Balloon Ride and Limousine package. The ULTIMATE package provides multi-passenger HUMMER or ESCALADE transporation from you home, to the balloon flight and return transportation. Homestead Flights – Starting at $600 and up

We bring the balloon & crew to you! What a way to have a bird's eye view of your house. Air fare includes up to two passengers, each additional passenger is $195 per person. A mileage surcharge will be billed at $0.89 per mile round trip for all location flights. Restrictions may apply regarding launch areas, wind speed & direction and proximity to unfavorable flying and landing areas as well as airspace and FAA flying restrictions.

Site Inspection – Starting at $50

Balloon activities require 250' by 250', free and clear of all obstacles, such as buildings, trees, ponds, fences, overhead telephone and electric lines and accessible by vehicle. To help clear up any questions about your location, we recommend a site inspection for tethers and special location launches. A mileage surcharge of $0.69 per mile round trip will incur for all site inspections regardless if the area is suitable for tethering or launching.

Metro Cincinnati or Dayton – Starting at $600

View the city from a vantage point not shared with many other folks. Air fare includes up to two passengers. Each additional passenger is $195 per person. While we strive for actual flights over either city, flight criteria on your scheduled flight date may require that we operate as near as possible to the metropolitan city limits, rather than over the congested metropolitan center. A mileage surcharge will be billed at $0.89 per mile round trip for all location flights. Restrictions may apply regarding wind speed & direction, proximity to unfavorable flying and landing areas as well as airspace and FAA flying restrictions.

The Fine Print:

How to obtain your balloon flight 

Call our office or visit our online service. Information is exchanged via either method and we will mail your flight documentation, and directions along with a gift certificated if needed. For scheduling and purchasing at the same time please call our office. The calendar availability changes daily and this way we can give you the most up to date availability.

Office hours:

April 1 through December 23 Mon – Fri 9am – 9pm. Weekend hours fluctuate according to weather conditions and flight schedules.                       (Office closes at 2pm on Dec. 24 & Dec 31. Closed on all major holidays.)

Jan 2 through March 31 Mon-Fri 10am – 5pm. Weekend hours fluctuate according to weather conditions and flight schedules.

Deposits Required

All flight reservations and gift certificates that are made by calling the office require either a $50 non-refundable deposit (with the balance due day of the flight) or payment in full. Certificates purchased via on line require payment in full. Once a deposit is made, we will guarantee your airfare for a period of one year. After a 12 month period the balance due would be at the applicable current airfare when the ride is taken.  Payment methods include all major credit cards, (Discover Card, Visa, American Express and MasterCard.) Cash, personal or business checks are also accepted for purchases made through the office.

Ride Refunds

If the ride is paid in full, we refund up to $50 of your airfare (The first $50 is non-refundable.) within 30 days from the date of purchase. The refund will only be returned to the original purchaser. **There are absolutely no refunds after weather postponements,rescheduling or cancellations. Occasionally, inclement weather forces us to postpone your flight and your deposit carries over to a rescheduled date and no refunds available at that time.

Flight Cancellation

We require 72 hours notice to cancel your flight with the option to reschedule at a later date. Notice less than 72 hours will be charged a $25 rescheduling fee. Not showing up for a flight on the scheduled day results in ALL forfeited airfares and deposits. The flight is considered flown and additional charges will apply to reschedule.

Vendor Certificates

For certificates other than Gentle Breeze certificates, please refer to the original brokering agent for individual policies and refunds. Pricing and additional fees are at the discretion of the brokering agent. No showing for a flight will be considered flown and additional charges will apply to reschedule.
